What stays on your device

Your AI choice and the names, URLs, and optional keyboard letters for your quick links are stored only in your browser. here has no account, analytics, advertising, or developer-operated server.

Weather

If you allow location access, here reads your current coordinates and sends rounded latitude and longitude to Open-Meteo over HTTPS solely to retrieve the current temperature. If you decline, here requests weather for New York instead. here does not retain your location.

Search and AI

When you submit a query, here navigates your browser to Google, ChatGPT, or Claude with that query. Those services receive the query under their own privacy policies. here does not receive or retain it.

Sharing and sale

No data is sold, used for advertising, or shared except as required to provide the weather, search, or AI action you directly request.

Your control

You can remove individual quick links in Settings. Removing the extension deletes its locally stored preferences through Chrome's normal extension removal process.

This use of information is limited to providing and improving here’s single-purpose new-tab features and follows the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
